Gospel Power Ministries believes in:
 

1) In one God, who is loving, holy and just, and who exists in three Persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each has unique attributes and all three are in absolute and perfect unity. (Matthew 28:19 / Deuteronomy 6:4 / Mark 12:29 / John 1:1-3 / 2 Corinthians 13:14)

 

2) That Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and is both God and Man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He led a sinless life, and when He died on the Cross He took all our sins upon Himself. He was resurrected, He ascended into Heaven, and He is coming again. Today He is seated at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Mediator. (John 1:1 / 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 / 1 John 1:1-3 / Luke 1:26-31 / Ephesians 1:1-3 / Hebrews 12:2 / Hebrews 8:1)

 

3) That the Holy Spirit is our Comforter and Counsellor. He guides us in all areas of our lives, blesses us with spiritual gifts and empowers us to yield to the fruit of the Spirit. (John 14:16-17 / John 15:26 / John 16:8 / 1 Corinthians 12:1-13 / Galatians 5:22-25 / Luke 24:29 / Acts 1:4-8)

 

4) That man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin, which has separated us all from God, and that only through faith in Jesus Christ can we be reconciled to God. (Genesis 1:2 / Isaiah 59:1-2/ 2 Corinthians 5:18 / Romans 5:11-12)

 

5) That salvation demonstrates God’s grace toward humanity. God’s grace provides a means of justification, regeneration and sanctification. Salvation is activated by a person’s genuine repentance and faith confession that Jesus Christ is both Lord and Saviour, and it produces works pleasing to God. (Titus 2:11; Titus 3:5-7)

 

6) That the Bible is God’s Word. It is inspired and accurate and is our perfect guide in all matters of life. (2 Timothy 3:16-17 / 2 Peter 1:21)

 

7) In the bodily resurrection of all people; the eternal judgement of God; and the final doom of Satan. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 / 1 Corinthians 15:52 / Matthew 25:46; 13: 49-50 / Roman 6:23 / 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 / Rom 2: 16 / 1 Corinthians 6: 2-3 / Hebrews 10: 30)

 

8) That God wants to transform, heal and prosper us, so that we can live blessed and victorious lives that will impact and help others. (3 John 2)

 

9) In the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that we are called to preach the Gospel to all nations. (Romans 1:16 / Mark 16:15 / Matthew 28:19-20)

 

10) That Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church. The Church is governed through His Word and is led by the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 5:23)

 

11) That the Church is the body of Christ. It consists of all people who are called by God, through saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been born anew by the Holy Spirit, and are united together in the body of Christ, of which He is the Head. (Ephesians 1: 22-23; 2:22 / Hebrews 12: 23 / 1 Corinthians 12:12-14)

 

12) That Holy Communion is a remembrance of Jesus’ death and of His impending return. (1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

 

13) That water baptism is a demonstration of our obedience to Jesus Christ and is symbolic of being buried with Christ and of being risen with Him from the dead by the glory of God. It is a public declaration of our faith in Him. (Matthew 28:19 / 2 Corinthians 5:17 / Mark 16: 16 / Romans 6:4-5 / Colossians 2: 12)
